嘉宾简介：

Journalist and writer specialised in Asia.

From 1987 until 2013, she was mostly war correspondent and special envoy for Asia-Pacific in EL PAIS, the largest newspaper in Spain, including four years with Cadena Ser (Radio) as a correspondent for Russia and the old soviet republics. Also, during one year she was General Director of Information and Communication for the Spanish Ministry of Defense.

During its professional career, Georgina has covered many Asian conflicts, including the Vietnam-Cambodia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Chechnya, Georgia, Lebanon, and Palestine wars, as well as the Indian subcontinent’s various ethnical conflicts. She has also conducted one-on-one interviews with several world leaders in the likes of Jiang Zemin, Mikhail Gorbachev, Nelson Mandela, Isaac Rabin, Yasir Arafat and Benazir Bhutto.

She is the author of ‘China, la venganza del dragón’ [China, the revenge of the Dragon] and ‘El despertar de Asia’ [The Awakening of Asia], as well as coauthor of ‘Haití, una apuesta por la esperanza’ [Haiti, a bet for hope] and ‘China en mis ojos’ [China in my eyes].

Today, she writes as a foreign relations analyst for several newspapers and academic publications, such as in the bimonthly ‘Política Exterior’ [Foreign Policy], the daily newspaper ‘El periódico de Cataluña’ [The Newspaper of Catalonia] and the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies.

She has also punctually taught China’s international relations at the Nebrija University (Madrid), Madrid Complutense University, Ramon Llull University (Barcelona) and has given lectures and seminars in several others Spanish universities.
